At your appointment we take time with you and once we get to know what you like we may be able to select some gowns for you that you may have missed. The Wedding Gown of your choice is for your special day and it has to be right. We will serve complimentary tea and coffee to bridal parties. Appointments It is extremely advisable that you make an appointment however providing we have staff available we will assist you. We request that you keep your guests to minimum where possible especially at the weekend as we are extremely busy. The Sale gowns are sample gowns and unless discontinued by the supplier are current and can be re-ordered at the normal cost if you need a different size or you just want a new one. Our gowns start from £300.00 even less in the sale and range to £2000.000 and the average price would be between £700.00 to £1100.00. JOB VACANCY Alterations Co-ordinatorWe are an extremely busy wedding shop based in the city centre of Exeter. We are looking for an experienced person to alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses. The right candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills. As part of a team the successful candidate will be an experienced alterations person. Experience in using an industrial sewing machine and over locker is essential. Attention to detail is essential and the successful candidate must be flexible with regard to work loads. The successful candidate must be confident in the work which needs to be produced. There will be strict deadlines to be met. The hours of work are full-time Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, Saturday mornings fittings when required from 9am to 12pm with time off in lieu in the week however, the candidate must be available for Saturday morning. Pay to be discussed at interview. References from previous employers and proof of standard of work will be required.The main duties include:Measuring brides Alterations to bridal gowns Measuring bridesmaidsAlterations to Bridesmaids dresses Alterations to mother of the bride or mother of the groom dressesMaking straps, bustles for gowns.Making jackets if required Ensuring that the alterations room in which the successful candidate works is kept clean and free from clutter Steaming gowns ready for collectionAny other work in relation to brides etc which may be required
